OMA on the front line for “Grifone 2019 operations”

On September 11 OMA had the pleasure to host a delegation of International Observatories who came to Foligno for the “Grifone 2019
Operations”: the Italian biggest search and rescue simulation held from 9th to 13th September, 2019.

The guests were military helicopter pilots who work in the search and rescue teams of their own Countries such as France, Spain, Algeria, Austria, Portugal, Serbia, Tunisia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Jordan, Macedonia, Morocco, United Arab Emirates.

We are very proud that these important operations are taking place in the same airport where OMA has been executing the maintenance and overhaul of light aircraft for the Italian Airforce for over 70 years.

After a tour in the Company, the pilots expressed great interest for the innovative solutions developed by OMA for the design and production of airborne actuation & control systems and integrated aerostructures, also realizing that many equipment produced by OMA are for use in those helicopters that these days are taking part to the military operations.

Sincere appreciation also for the new Rapier X-25: the latest-generation OMA and Sky Eye Systems drone also designed to be a valid support in all search and rescue situations such as those simulated during the Grifone 2019 operations.
