On April 8th, the Chief of Staff of the Italian Airforce Gen. S.A. Alberto Rosso visited OMA. The General, who already knew OMA as a strategic player in the national and international aeronautics industry, had the opportunity to look at the most recent improvements achieved in the Company.
Together with OMA’s top management, the visit mainly took place in the facilities where it is performed the overhaul of the aircraft models used by the Italian Air Force pilots as basic-primary trainers.
Then, the tour continued through the other shops, focusing in particular on the new milling center where latest generation numerically controlled machines operates 24 hours to produce high complexity titanium parts for use on the wing assembly of the JSF F-35 aircraft.
At the end of the visit General Rosso spent words of appreciation for the significant improvements and investments implemented in the last years boosting the wide capabilities that OMA is able to offer, related to design, manufacturing and maintenance services and that represent a crucial asset in support of the Italian Air Force fleet.
